John,

The rumors are absolutely true.

I’ll confirm it for you myself…

I sleep in my office when I’m in Washington.

Not what you were expecting? Let me tell you why that made headline news last week…

The swamp creatures in D.C. were shocked to find out that someone is actually committed to the values of their community back home. They just assume everyone is in D.C. to get rich and drink fancy cocktails.

But here’s the truth: we’re not elected to enjoy the perks of political power. We’re elected to work tirelessly for the people we represent and to get back to our communities as soon as the job is done.

That’s why I wake up every morning in a space that’s not much bigger than a closet because I refuse to lose sight of why I’m there: to fight for you.

Imagine what Congress could accomplish if more members did the same. Instead of cozying up to DC’s elite, they’d be focused on the hard work of serving the people. Instead of chasing the next cocktail party, they’d be finding solutions for real problems.

Does this idea resonate with you? Do you believe Washington should be about service—not self-indulgence? If so, I need your help to keep this movement strong:

SUPPORT PEOPLE FIRST LEADERSHIP

Every dollar you give sends a message: we’re tired of the political elite treating public service like a stepping stone to luxury. We demand accountability. We demand results.

Together, we can prove that leadership isn’t about living in luxury. It’s about getting things done and standing firm for the people who count on us.

Thank you for standing with me, not just in words, but in action.

Thank you for your support,

Rep. Buddy Carter
