But here’s the truth: we’re not elected to enjoy the perks of political power. We’re elected to work tirelessly for the people we represent and to get back to our communities as soon as the job is done.
That’s why I wake up every morning in a space that’s not much bigger than a closet because I refuse to lose sight of why I’m there: to fight for you.
