Attacks on the rights, health, and safety of LGBTQ+ people have
intensified over the last year in this country, and with a second Donald
Trump presidency and GOP congressional control on the way, they’re likely
to get worse.

As California’s Attorney General, Rob has stood firm in his work to
protect trans youth and the LGBTQ+ community at large from far-right
extremism, and he remains committed to keeping up that fight once Trump is
in power.

Our AG was recently featured in Them’s list of elected officials who are
standing up for trans kids in the wake of Trump’s election. The LGBTQ+
news platform highlighted his lawsuit against a California school district
to stop a policy that would require teachers to out trans students to
their parents this year.

They also noted that his team at the Department of Justice has already
drafted legal briefs and prepared arguments to challenge Trump’s potential
unlawful policies, including attacks on civil rights for trans youth.

Rob will continue to do everything in his power to ensure every person —
including trans kids and other LGBTQ+ individuals — can live healthy and
prosperous lives as their authentic selves, no matter who is in the White
House.
