First, I want to thank every single person who stood with Vice President Kamala Harris and me during the campaign. While the outcome isn’t what we wanted, it was the honor of a lifetime to fight alongside you and millions more Americans for our shared values of democracy and freedom.

Now, I know there are a lot of folks who are worried about the next four years – I’m one of them.

But even through the deep disappointment, I’ve never felt more inspired, more motivated and more fired up about what’s possible in this country.

And that is exactly why I am asking you to stay in this fight, team.

From Social Security to reproductive rights, we’re going to have to be ready to defend the progress that we made over the last four years.

Let me be 100% clear: If Donald Trump and JD Vance try to reverse our progress and bring a hateful agenda to Minnesota, I’ll be ready to stand up to protect our values and our way of life.

Democratic governors like myself are ready to be the last line of defense against Donald Trump and his extreme agenda. But this isn’t going to be easy and we can’t do it alone.
