** We have so much to be thankful for this year!

Here are ten reasons we’re thankful in 2024:

* It’s now a felony to buy a child for sex in California. We joined a campaign that reached millions of people, advocating for this critical law, SB1414, to be passed.
* Pornhub has now left 12 states. Since our Protect Children Not Porn campaign was introduced, 19 states have passed laws requiring age verification on porn sites, to shield children from exposure.
* Pornhub now requires age and consent verification for all performers. Through the Traffickinghub campaign, Exodus Cry specifically advocated for this standard, and the site finally enacted it this year.
* Our VP of Impact, Helen Taylor, spoke at the United Nations World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. We assembled a panel of speakers and advocated for porn site age verification to protect children from underage exposure.
* The Kids Online Safety Act passed in the US Senate. We sat down with lawmakers and advocated for this bill, which will require online platforms to take measures to mitigate sexual exploitation and other dangers to kids.
* Our film Buying Her was screened for California lawmakers. Senator Shannon Grove and Assemblymember Juan Alanis hosted this screening, which revealed the importance of holding sex buyers accountable in the fight against trafficking.
* Survivors received over 200 hours of trauma therapy this year. These brave survivors are finding healing and have described their therapy experience as “life-changing.”
* The Australian government invited us to screen our film Buying Her. We did screenings in Australia and New Zealand, followed by a panel discussion featuring experts, and, as a result, significant progress is being made to pass effective anti-trafficking laws.
* Sixty abolitionists from 12 countries received training at our Abolition Retreat. This incredible group learned from leading anti-trafficking experts so they could be equipped to uproot trafficking in their respective countries.
* Over 350 victims of the sex trade received resources to exit a life of exploitation. Our outreach teams connected with these women, to offer them the opportunity of a new life.
