April, our kids, and I want to thank you for helping us in our race for US Congress. Thanks to you, and many people like you, we were in a solid position to win this race.
On Election Day Voting, we won the race. During Early Voting, we won the race. However, the mail-in ballots, tens of thousands of them, were overwhelmingly straight-Democrat votes.
On election night, the race was too close to call. It was a bittersweet night. We went to bed relieved that Donald Trump would be our next President, but wondering what the next few days would mean for us and our volunteers.
I want to give you the details of what happened in the last few weeks of the campaign in a separate email, but for now, I must ask for your help. We were ahead in the polls, and we ended the race going “all in” in an attempt to win. However, due to a very unexpected expenditure, we now have $32,000 of campaign debt that we need to take care of right away.
