Democracy isn't perfect,
John.
Oftentimes, there’s a lot of work, noise, and sometimes, tough losses.
As we continue to absorb the shock of Donald Trump’s victory, here at
LeftNet, we’re not just looking back — we’re looking forward.
If we’re being completely honest, some days it feels like the best we can
do is get out of bed and put one foot in front of the other.
The recent headlines out of DC certainly haven’t helped. And while we
don’t want to sugarcoat the dangers of another Trump presidency, we know
wallowing in our despair has never gotten anyone anywhere.
We have to keep going and continue marching forward. That’s how we’ll do
our part to bring about a better future for future generations.
Our democracy is counting on us to show up — and not just every two and
four years. No matter the setbacks along the way, we will continue putting
one foot in front of the other and fight for the future we deserve every
single day.
A better tomorrow is possible,
John — but we have to work for it
day in and day out. And we’re beyond lucky to have you with us in this
fight.
Wherever you are and however you celebrate the holidays, we hope you and
your loved ones have a restful long weekend ahead.
