The American people need us, and House Democrats are rising to the challenge. Now is not the time for Republican foot-dragging and partisan gridlock. It's a time for us all to put the needs of working people first, and do everything we can -- as fast as we can -- to make sure everyone gets the support they need.

That's why I'm so proud to have voted YES on the Health and Economic Recovery Omnibus Emergency Solutions (HEROES) Act last night. Big challenges call for bold solutions, and this fourth phase of our COVID-19 response efforts is just that.

Here's what the HEROES Act will do for you:

-- Protect South Jersey families from evictions and foreclosures, and extend their paid family and sick leave benefits.

-- Allocate even more funds to lift up South Jersey's small businesses and invest in the testing and medical supplies we need.

-- Make sure everyone can cast their vote safely (and by mail) this year.

-- Support the United States Postal Service to ensure this critical service is not disrupted in South Jersey.

-- Deliver much-needed funds to state and local governments to ensure they can continue to serve you, and so much more.
