Dear Friend,
In these last days of Ramadan, it’s so important that we recommit to protecting the rights of American Muslims in prison.
The way our nation over-incarcerates is unconscionable. Our prisons are too often places of trauma, with inadequate food, limited medical care, and unjust restrictions on worship. At the same time, Muslims are vastly overrepresented in the prison system. Many people become Muslim in prison and in several state prison systems, Muslims make up more than 20% of the population.
That's why defending prisoner rights is a central principle of our work at Muslim Advocates. Will you help us protect this community by making a zakat-eligible, tax deductible gift? [[link removed]]
Rather than tell you about what our team does to protect Muslims in prison, I want to show you.

We organized more than 20 faith groups to pressure prisons to decarcerate during COVID-19 and let Muslims observe Ramadan uninterrupted. Organizing like this takes time. Will you support it? [[link removed]]
Yes, it takes work to get results. But it's worth it. [[link removed]]

Our recent lawsuit resulted in the federal Bureau of Prisons changing its policy to allow Muslims to pray in groups nationwide. This decision secured the right to worship to thousands of incarcerated Muslims . These are not just words, they're actions. Will you support them? [[link removed]]
Yes, I support the right of incarcerated Muslims to pray. [[link removed]]
