Dear Mr. xxxxxx,
I wanted to pass along my latest update on what I have been doing to fight for you, Texas’ 21st Congressional District, and our country as a whole:
Schumer's Senate must sanction the ICC
Last week, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former defense chief. This brazen decision by the ICC should be met with action.
In June, the House passed H.R.8282 - Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act, a bill I introduced that would place sanctions on the ICC if they were to go after the U.S. or our allies. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer must stop empowering this illegitimate court and stand with Israel by passing H.R. 8282.
150,000 migrant children have gone missing under the Biden admin’s watch
Last week before Congress, Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra could not account for the 150,000+ unaccompanied alien children (UAC) that have gone missing under the watch of the Biden administration.
That’s why I am demanding answers and instructing the Biden administration to preserve all records and relevant documents related to the missing children.
Protecting our children
Senator Mike Lee and I are fighting to protect children from access to porn website. We have filed an amicus brief, along with 21 other members of Congress, in the U.S. Supreme Court in Free Speech Coalition, Inc. v. Paxton – the case challenging Texas law H.B. 1181, which requires age verification for pornography.
The government has an obvious and unquestionable duty in keeping children off porn sites. We must protect our children from internet pornography’s health dangers and access to these websites by supporting this Texas law requiring adults to prove their age, as is the case with age-restricted items.
Here are some other news articles of what I’ve been up to lately:
Announcements:
Congressional App Challenge Winners Congratulations to the winners of the 2024 Congressional App Challenge! Read more about the amazing TX-21 students who submitted phone apps to the competition:
First Place: “Semiflow” by Mr. Keshav Singh and Mr. Ty Fonseca from Hill Country College Preparatory High School of Comal ISD
“We created “Semiflow” to help students understand the complicated world of fluid dynamics and particle simulations because neither of those subjects are easy, but both are vitally important to the workings of the everyday world. Semiflow is a particle simulator, that helps students, no matter their skill level, understand the inner complexities of particle dynamics, using an abstractified system.”
2nd Place: “StoryCrafter” by Ms. Cabrini Bustos from Alamo Heights High School
3rd Place: “Graph Master” by Mr. Ryder Garcia, Mr. Weston Packer, Mr. Luke Schroeder, and Mr. Gavin Sneed from Smithson Valley High School of Comal ISD
