Hello Friend,
This Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to share my gratitude for you and all you’ve done to support Conservation Voters of PA. Your dedication to protecting clean air, fresh water, and open spaces for every Pennsylvanian — no matter their race, income, or zip code — is the foundation of everything we’ve accomplished together. Thank you!
We know this year didn’t end exactly as we’d hoped but thanks to you, 2024 has still been a year of progress. Here’s what we accomplished together: -
Passed the Solar for Schools bill: We worked with our allies in labor and lawmakers on both sides of the aisle to pass Pennsylvania’s first clean energy legislation in over a decade which will reduce air pollution, lower school energy bills, and create good-paying, local jobs.
-
Secured critical state and federal investments: We secured millions of dollars to plug abandoned oil and gas wells, reduce methane pollution, and protect our rivers and streams, and we celebrated the investment of more than a billion dollars to advance clean energy reforms through the Biden-Harris Inflation Reduction Act.
-
And we protected pro-environment seats in the state legislature, ensuring that a pro-environment-controlled State House will return to represent us in Harrisburg in January.
None of these wins were easy — and they only happened because thousands of folks like you donated, took action, and made your voices heard.
As we prepare for the challenges ahead in 2025, even with Donald Trump returning to the White House, I’m confident we can keep pushing Pennsylvania forward together.
We’ll fight every day to transition away from outdated, dirty energy sources to a clean energy future… to lower energy costs for you and your family… and to secure clean air and water for every community. Every action you take — whether volunteering, advocating, or donating — brings us one step closer to these goals.
Friend, your commitment inspires hope for Pennsylvania’s future, and I’m truly thankful to have you by our side.
May your Thanksgiving be filled with gratitude, joy, and the company of friends and family you hold dear.
With gratitude, Molly Parzen Executive Director Conservation Voters of PA
