Will you join us in making a #JustEconomy a national priority and local reality?
Hi Friend,
As National Homeless and Hunger Awareness Week draws to a close and Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Giving Tuesday approach, we are reminded of the sobering realities: 37.2 million Americans live below the poverty line, 580,000 experience homelessness on any given night, 42 million face food insecurity, and 1 in 6 children grow up in poverty.
These numbers are more than statistics—they reflect families fighting to make ends meet, children facing uncertain futures, and communities pushed to their limits during what should be a festive time of year. They tell a deeper story of systemic and persistent inequality, reminding us that the holiday season is not joyful for everyone.
NCRC and our 700+ member organizations across the nation work to change that story. Our unique mix of research, investigations, investments, media, grant-making, training, advocacy, and affordable housing development, strengthens communities to provide temporary or permanent shelter for those in need.
Donate today to ensure the right to housing and food is a national priority and local reality.

NCRC stands at the forefront of transformation. Through strategic advocacy, we advance regulations that encourage banks to invest in affordable housing development projects within low- and moderate-income communities, and we negotiate powerful Community Benefit Agreements ([link removed] ) (CBA) to increase the flow of private capital into communities that need it most. We're not just raising awareness—we create tangible pathways out of economic uncertainty. By supporting affordable housing, defending fair lending practices and amplifying the voices of marginalized communities, we're building a framework to end housing insecurity.
Your contribution now will help NCRC invest in comprehensive solutions that rebuild lives and restore hope. Every dollar helps us continue our fight against inequality and economic injustice.
With gratitude,
Katy Crosby
