This weekly digest is a method to communicate updates, initiatives and policy changes from the Aging and Adult Services Division (AASD) and Disability Services Division (DSD) in a simplified way. We send this announcement every week on Tuesdays.

Joint AASD/DSD messages

Extension of three-month PCA/CSG service agreements [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* People who use PCA, CSG and Community First Services and Supports (CFSS), their families, providers and lead agencies
* *Effective date:* Immediately
* *Summary:* People who currently use PCA/CSG services will receive up to six months of PCA/CSG services while they transition to CFSS. DHS changed the service extension from three to six months to avoid gaps in service for people as they transition to CFSS.





Training and event information

Two-day virtual training announcement: Assess, Conceptualize and Diagnose Mental Health Disorders in Young Children Using the DC: 0-5 [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* Comprehensive multi-disciplinary evaluation (CMDE) providers and clinical trainees who have experience with diagnostic procedures using DSM-5 or ICD-10 with a strong background in child development and other interested professionals
* *Event dates:* Jan. 7-8, 2025
* *Summary:* Registration is now open for the free, two-day virtual training “Assess, Conceptualize and Diagnose Mental Health Disorders in Young Children using the DC: 0-5” on Jan. 7-8, 2025.

* *Audience:* Direct support professionals, disability services providers, lead agencies, people with disabilities and their families and other interested parties
* *Summary:* Free and low-cost online classes to help support people with disabilities are available to individuals and organizations through DirectCourse, a learning management system.
