We wanted to share with you a message from a voter in Havertown that was printed in the Delco Times earlier this week.
In her letter to the editor, Victoria wrote that in 2018, she wasn’t an early supporter of ours, but after seeing how Mary Gay has continuously displayed committed and sound leadership for our district through challenging times, Mary Gay won her complete support.
“Since the day Scanlon was sworn in, the House of Representatives has been in a constant state of crisis, from the government shutdown and the caging of children at the border, to the Mueller investigation, presidential impeachment, and Covid-19. Through it all, Scanlon has shown that you do not need to thump your chest if you come fully prepared to every meeting, calmly deploy your intelligence and sly humor in every encounter, and listen – really listen – to what your constituents are saying.”
Mary Gay is always focused on finding solutions to some of the most pressing issues facing families in southeastern Pennsylvania. Here are just a few highlights from her first term so far:

In her first year, MGS introduced and co-sponsored 330+ bills, participated in 121+ hearings, voted 650+ times, hosted 11 in-person town halls (and 6 virtual town halls in the pandemic), and served as a member of over 40 caucuses.

MG fought for Boeing workers here in DelCo.

She has been leading the way on election security and advocating to make our elections more fair and accessible.

During the Judiciary Committee’s impeachment hearings, MG worked tirelessly to hold this administration accountable.

And in the middle of a pandemic, MG secured a $630 million contract for the Philly Shipyard - a victory that will bring nearly 1,200 jobs to our region.
At Team Scanlon, we’re incredibly proud of the work Mary Gay has done on behalf of families in our district, and we’re dedicated to doing everything necessary to ensure she wins re-election in November.
