Some of America’s greatest treasures are our public lands.

These breathtaking natural landscapes aren’t the property of a
well-connected few; they belong to you and me, and they should be
protected from exploitation and interference—where America can still be
wild.

Our national parks can stoke adventure within all of us, even if it's just
the once (like the one time I hiked Angel’s Landing in Zion—incredible,
but once in a lifetime for me in every way).

[ [link removed] ]I’d love to know what wild, public lands mean the most to you and what
your favorite national parks are—will you share your story today?

Whether it’s your first park visit (for me, the Smoky Mountains), or your
most recent (if you can believe it, I recently went to Shenandoah for the
first time to get a bit of respite from Congressional chaos)—our national
parks are special places that need our stories and our advocacy.

That’s why I convened a Congressional hearing to learn how we can make our
national parks more accessible for people with disabilities and veterans,
and I’ve spearheaded the Every Kid Outdoors Act to get more young
Americans to our national parks, free of charge.

And while it’s my personal belief that California has some of America’s
best national parks, I think we can all agree: Sorry St. Louis, but
Gateway Arch National Park… shouldn’t qualify.

or just your favorite wild corner of America—share your story today.

Thanks,

Katie
