The 2025 elections here in Virginia just became even more important.

The last time Donald Trump was President and Republicans controlled Congress, they attacked our fundamental rights, tried to rip away health care from millions, and degraded our democracy.

But here in Virginia, under the leadership of Governor McAuliffe, Governor Northam, and Democrats across the state, we were able to safeguard our freedoms even in the face of Republican extremism.

With Governor Youngkin and Lieutenant Governor Sears at the helm, we can’t count on that happening this time around — at least not while they’re in office.
