John, I wanted to say thank you, and share some good news.

Because of your support, we exceeded our fundraising goal!

We raised around $15,000 by our deadline, all thanks to our base of supporters. That's $5,000 more than we were anticipating; we're so thankful to have some extra money to reach even more voters, pay for our tech tools, and keep our phone and text banks running strong.

And as this campaign's finance director, I want to make sure you know this: we wouldn't be here without your support.

Whenever you chip in $3, forward an email, like or share a post on social media, or tell a friend or neighbor about Jamaal, you're helping grow our grassroots movement.

However, this doesn't mean taking on Eliot Engel on June 23 will be easy. Incumbents, particularly entrenched ones who are supported by the Democratic establishment, are hard to beat. With our base of supporters continuing to grow this close to the primary, John, we know Engel's team will be putting up a challenging fight for this seat.

But when we ask this team to step up to help us meet a challenge — you step up. Sometimes, you even go above and beyond, like you did this time around. I'm confident that you'll step up again to help Jamaal win and bring our district the bold, progressive change that we've needed for the past 31 years.
