North Carolinians spoke, and our Attorney General’s office will remain in Democratic hands, John!
Jeff Jackson has a long record of advocacy for our state, from his work as an assistant District Attorney to his service in the NC Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives.
He’s ready to take up the mantle from our previous Democratic Attorneys General — Gov. Roy Cooper and Gov.-elect Josh Stein — and protect North Carolinians’ constitutional rights.
And with so much uncertainty around how the federal government will go on a range of different topics, it’s critical that North Carolinians can rely on our AG to stand up for all of us.
However, Republican legislators just pushed through a bill that strips the incoming Attorney General of certain powers and will force him to work according to the whim of the GOP-controlled legislature. North Carolina voters chose Jeff Jackson to be their AG — not far-right Raleigh Republicans. That choice must be respected.
Look, the AG should serve the people — NOT politicians. If you agree, sign on to CONDEMN the GOP legislature’s blatant power grab >>>
Thank you,
Team Cooper
