The country is in crisis, and Democrat leaders in Congress unfortunately continue to play politics. I called on Congress to stop the partisan games and get back to work on individual solutions to individual problems facing Americans.

PELOSI PLAYS POLITICS
Congress should be in session every day working to find solutions to individual problems as they arise. That’s the best way to responsibly address the coronavirus pandemic in a targeted manner. But that’s not what Democrat leaders in the House are doing.
Nancy Pelosi has kept the House in hiding, all while crafting a partisan, multi-trillion dollar bill behind closed doors. To be clear, Democrats know that this bill will not become law and that it is nothing more than a messaging bill. They’re wasting precious taxpayer time on partisan games.
Some Democrats seem like they want to keep Americans locked down indefinitely. Why? So they can push their false narrative of a socialist utopia in which Americans are indefinitely reliant upon the government. Americans don’t want that reality. Americans want to get back to work. Texas is leading the way with a smart strategy to reopen the economy and get people back to work. What we are doing here can serve as a model to the rest of the country.
It’s simple: educate the American people about the risks and then trust them to take personal responsibility to prevent further spread of the virus. Most of the country is not experiencing the same circumstances as New York City. That’s why we need to implement targeted plans that meet the needs of individual states to start reviving local economies.

More evidence emerges every single day that lays the blame for the global spread of coronavirus at the feet of President Xi and the Chinese Communist Party. China’s government “disappeared” doctors, silenced whistle blowers, and blocked investigators from examining the true origins of the pandemic. The Chinese Communist Party lied and tried to cover-up their inaction, which has cost countless American lives and livelihoods.
