Listening to their voices

Hi John,

We loaded into the car yesterday to attend our youngest son's drive-thru pre-k graduation.

It was incredibly heartwarming to see the love in this community, the passion to ensure even the tiniest of graduates could safely mark this milestone.

But still, the reality is that in the time of COVID-19, graduation, particularly for our high school and college students, lacks the usual ceremony. It's also a milestone that now contains a question mark.

As we honor the Class of 2020, it is important to acknowledge and listen to the uncertainty, the worries and also the hope they have for the path forward.

On Monday, we are bringing together high school grads from around the district for a LIVE conversation.

They are first-time voters with a unique perspective.

I hope you'll join us to both honor their achievements and learn from their voices.

Monday, May 18th | 4pm

Worried you'll forget? Use the links above now to set a reminder to tune in on Monday at 4pm.

I hope to see you online. Enjoy the weekend.

Stay safe,
Anita Malik
