USO Supporter,
Some of the toughest days in my 25 years in the Air Force were holidays. There were times when I was deployed far from home during the holiday season. My family tried to celebrate without me, but it was hard on all of us. Even now, my heart aches remembering those missed moments.
That’s why I can tell you firsthand: An encouraging note of gratitude over the holidays can lift a service member’s spirit in a powerful way. Just knowing that someone is thinking of you means everything. So today, I'm personally asking: Will you add your signature to the USO's Thanksgiving card for our heroes in uniform?

Think about your favorite Thanksgiving memories — breaking the wishbone, backyard football games or that extra slice of apple pie. For so many of our service members, being deployed means missing these treasured moments year after year.
Our mission here at the USO is to make sure these service members know we see their sacrifice and deeply appreciate their service — especially on Thanksgiving. That’s why we set a goal of filling our card with 100,000 signatures from grateful Americans. But the goal deadline is at midnight Wednesday, so please take a moment and add your name now. It means more than you could ever know.
