Dear John,

Across the country as we speak, thousands of animals are being confined, transported and manipulated…all so that they can be put on display and forced to interact with the public as part of mobile zoo events.

That is why today, we are launching a brand new, groundbreaking report calledMobile Zoo, Mobile Misery: An Examination of the Licensing, Welfare, and Other Issues Relating to Travelling Animal Exhibitions in England’.

READ THE REPORT HERE!
A tortoise being handled excessively at a mobile zoo event in 2024 (Freedom for Animals).
We uncovered shocking welfare issues such as:
  • Animals kept in tiny, barren enclosures lacking fresh water, adequate shelter, and enrichment.
  • Species-specific care needs, like heat sources for reptiles, often ignored even in cold weather.
  • Animals forced into prolonged human interaction, visibly distressed without rest.
  • Animals transported in small enclosures for hours, enduring poor weather and noisy events.
This research has only strengthened the evidence that travelling animal exhibitions are exploitative, profit driven events, which by their very transient nature cause animal suffering and neglect.

We believe an outright ban on travelling animal exhibitions
to be the only way to protect animals from mistreatment, inadequate living conditions, and high-stress environments. And to make that happen, we need your help!
TAKE ACTION FOR ANIMALS HERE!

So please, take action for animals used in mobile zoos, by sending a letter to DEFRA today!

Head to our TAKE ACTION PAGE here, to fill out the form and demand that the government commits to an outright ban on the use of animals in mobile exhibitions!

Like you, we are dedicated to ending the captivity of animals for public entertainment. But we could not achieve justice for animals if it wasn't thanks to your continued support. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you, for always taking a stand for those exploited in these industries.

For the animals,

Laura Walton
