Hi, John, it's Liz. As we gear up for an unpredictable new administration and prepare to spend time with our loved ones, I want to personally thank you for your commitment to ending gun violence. We know there are tough times ahead, and all we have is each other.

As a parent and a gun violence survivor myself, this fight is personal. When I see gun violence in the news, I can't help but think about my mother, who was brutally murdered more than two decades ago, and of my own kids — the danger they face every day and the pain they would feel if they were to lose me like I lost my own mother.

Thanks to activists like you, John, gun violence survivors like me are able to put in the hours working with Brady day in and day out to pass common-sense legislation. And while we've made major gains toward saving lives and freeing America from gun violence, there's still a lot of work to be done. But together, I know we can make it happen.
