I'll make sure we do." Greene, you may recall, is a QAnon enthusiast. QAnon, you may recall, rose to prominence in very right-wing circles as a ham-fisted, deeply unserious, anti-pedophile operation, supposedly outing super evil Democrats running an imaginary child sex-trafficking ring from a non-existent basement in a very real Washington, DC, pizzeria. Still with us? Well, buckle up! There's always more. Gaetz has been credibly accused of...sex trafficking a minor. So credibly accused, in fact, that he could not muster the required 51 votes in a GOP-controlled Senate to win confirmation. And so, Greene, chessmaster that she is, has two choices before her: follow through on her threat and out her Republican colleagues for their sexual misconduct OR continue providing cover for predators in her midst in a downright historic display of hypocrisy. Fox News contributor Leslie Marshall slammed Pete Hegseth, President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for defense secretary, on Sunday after the details of a sexual assault allegation against him were made public. But Marshall first took aim at former Fox News host Hegseth’s alleged history of infidelity, a crime under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. “With all due respect to my former colleague, we know that there were three cases of adultery for Pete Hegseth, and it is relevant,” Marshall said. “And the reason why it’s relevant is, Article 134 of the UCMJ considers adultery against the military, which the Department of Defense is part of. You can’t lead an entire organization and all these people if you can’t lead by example, one.” Marshall, who said she is a rape victim, then honed in on the sexual assault allegation that was recently made public. “It’s very difficult for a woman to go in and have a rape kit done. It’s physically, mentally, and emotionally very difficult to go through that process, as I have,” Marshall said. She insisted that “somebody doesn’t go into the hospital" and voluntarily "subject herself to that" without good reason.

Pete Hegseth is a walking, talking, alt-right fever dream for foreign policy radicals hellbent on upending decades of long-established alliances, and five-alarm fire bells should be ringing in any sensible person's head at the thought of this man running the Pentagon. Hegseth has attacked NATO, dismissed strategic alliances with key countries such as Turkey, and basically shit on critical international institutions like the United Nations in two recent books. Oh, he also said US troops should be free to engage and act on the battlefield and beyond with outright impunity. Specifically, Hegseth has argued that the US military should ignore the Geneva Conventions and any international laws governing the conduct of war, and instead "unleash them" to become a "ruthless," "uncompromising," and "overwhelmingly lethal" force geared to "winning our wars according to our own rules." Sounds super reasonable.

The MAGA cult leader is expected to sign an executive order that would remove transgender service members from the US military as soon as his first day in office. The president-elect is reportedly preparing to issue an order following his inauguration on January 20 that would effectively ban trans people from serving — and then medically discharge the thousands of currently serving trans service members of the armed forces. Because what we clearly need now is a good cleansing and culling of our all-volunteer military.

Republican Sen. Markwayne Mullin said Donald Trump’s pick for defense secretary was "falsely accused" of sexual assault, defending his claim days earlier that Pete Hegseth had just been "flirting" with his accuser. Mullin, who was clearly not present at the time of the incident in 2017, insisted that Hegseth was targeted while he was attempting to flirt with another woman and that the accuser was the actual aggressor. A recently released police report from the incident revealed that the woman, who has not been identified, told police that Hegseth blocked the door to stop her from leaving his hotel room and took her phone away before sexually assaulting her. Hegseth has maintained that the encounter was consensual.
