Email from Rep. Salazar FL-27 Newsletter Vol. 118, Issue #75 Dear Friends/Amigos, The fight for liberty here at home and around the world will never end, and I am proud to deliver this fight for Florida's 27th Congressional District in the House of Representatives. Last week in Washington, the House of Representatives passed the BOLIVAR Act to ensure the U.S. government will never agree to contracts with the tyrannical Maduro regime ever again. I also announced my intention to join the Congressional Delivering on Government Efficiency (DOGE) Caucus, a new body of representatives ready to end out-of-control spending in Washington, D.C. More on these below. It is an honor to serve you in Congress. As always, if you would like to leave me and my office a comment, call (202) 225-3931. Sincerely/Atentamente, MarÃa E. Salazar U.S. Representative (FL-27) FIXING WASHINGTON'S BIG SPENDING PROBLEM! Did you know that America's national debt has surpassed $36 trillion, or an astonishing $270,000 for every America taxpayer? Wasteful spending has plagued Washington, D.C. for decades, but my colleagues in the House of Representatives and I are ready to tackle the issue head-on. Along with my friend Rep. Aaron Bean (R-FL), I announced my intent to join the Congressional Delivering on Government Efficiency (DOGE) Caucus! We will work closely with President-elect Trump's incoming Department of Government Efficiency led by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to identify opportunities to save taxpayers money. Read more about the Congressional DOGE Caucus here! PUTTING PRESSURE ON THE MADURO REGIME! Last week, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 825, the BOLIVAR Act, legislation I proudly supported. Introduced by Reps. Mike Waltz (R-FL) and Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), the bill ends all American federal contracts with the Maduro regime. At a time when Nicolás Maduro is ramping up his repressive apparatus against the Venezuelan opposition and people, cutting all financial lifelines is a major priority.
