We can't wait, John.

Too many teachers need to dip into their own pockets to pay for necessary supplies in overcrowded classrooms. Too many parents need to think twice before putting a glass of water on the dinner table.

And just this week, someone from West Michigan actually sent our office a piece of the deteriorating road.

John, I've proposed a budget of bold yet practical solutions to fix the problems in our state and make a difference in people's lives right now.

And have Lansing Republicans passed it? Have they submitted an alternate budget? Have they even called it up for a vote?

Nope. Instead, Lansing Republicans took a vacation.

If you think it's time to clean up our drinking water, fund our classrooms, and finally fix the damn roads, then add your name right now DEMANDING Lansing Republicans pass our budget:

I didn't get elected promising things that we couldn't accomplish.

I ran on real fixes. Things that transcend party or partisanship. Obvious solutions -- things that will make a real difference for real people all the same.

But the only way we can make these policies and fixes a reality is by overcoming the gridlock and obstruction in Lansing. This can't afford to wait.

If you're as frustrated as I am then I need your signature right now demanding that Lansing Republicans come to the table to pass a bipartisan budget immediately:

There's nothing partisan about potholes. Good schools aren't a leftwing or rightwing issue -- it's about doing the right thing for parents, teachers, and kids.

Failure is not an option. Let's get it done.
