Restoring National Security

Four years ago, the Biden-Harris administration inherited a secure nation, but their failed policies have led to a historic and deadly border crisis. Americans watched helplessly as liberals halted construction of the southern border wall, suspended all deportations, and ended lifesaving Trump policies including ‘Remain in Mexico.’ Now that the American people have delivered a clear mandate to secure our country, migrant caravans are lining up to enter the U.S. illegally. It’s time for Congress to step up and get our nation back on track. I introduced legislation to restore Trump’s Remain in Mexico policy and was a proud supporter of the Secure the Border Act passed in the House. As your Congressman, I am fighting each day to restore law and order, uphold the integrity of our immigration system, and safeguard American lives.

Prayer on the House Floor

I was honored to welcome Pastor Clark Bosher to our nation's Capitol for the distinct honor of opening the House Floor in prayer. For nearly two decades, Pastor Bosher has led Willow Park Baptist Church in TX-25 where my family and I have been blessed to know him. Financial Services Committee

This week, the House Financial Services Committee held a hearing examining the oversight of prudential regulators. One of the most common themes that I have seen coming from the regulatory agenda of the prudential regulators and Biden Administration is that there has been little to no thought into how the onslaught of rules and regulations will affect community and mid-size banks. We are continuing to see practices that harm smaller operations, raise costs and compliance hours, and decrease the availability of credit for those who need it most.
