I do my best to work with my colleagues to reach consensus, even when we disagree on other issues. The Lugar Center once again ranked me among the top bipartisan senators. I’m going to continue to work with my colleagues across the aisle to get things done for the people of Iowa.
This week was no exception. I was proud to see a package of bipartisan bills pass the Senate to honor our law enforcement officers for National Police Week.
The package includes three bills aimed at improving mental health resources for law enforcement officers and improving access to financial support for families of officers lost or permanently disabled due to COVID-19.
This pandemic lends even more urgency to our efforts to ensure lifesaving cures are affordable. We’ve got a winning solution with the Prescription Drug Pricing Reduction Act. It will help secure our American way of life in a post-pandemic world for generations to come.
