It’s back to school season already, and we are so excited about the students who are coming on board to help power our grassroots campaign. Having so many students willing to invest their time in our movement is inspiring, especially when you consider the lengths they are forced to go through just to further their education.

Will you help us fund a few college students to work on our campaign? [[link removed]]

Students these days are saddled with an enormous burden when it comes to funding their education. It’s estimated that today’s students pay about six times what their grandparents paid fifty years ago for a similar education.

And that’s just tuition.

Living costs are through the roof in many cities where universities or higher education institutions are located. People with full-time jobs struggle to live in these areas, let alone students. Many face steep cost-of-living expenses on top of tuition, either having to choose between working multiple jobs or commuting from hours away. Some have to do both.

This shouldn’t be their reality. Students shouldn’t have to face an avalanche of student debt for the rest of their lives. They shouldn’t have to choose between tuition or rent. They shouldn’t have to deal with predatory student loan servicers, many who make simple actions like paying for your student loan after you graduate nearly impossible.

This is why our campaign is fighting so hard for tuition-free college .

During the school term, we spend about $500 per student each semester. It’s worth every cent, because we get to work with eager and energetic youth who are building their skills while participating in the political process!
