John, a recent
opinion piece in the New York Times claims that the Democratic Party’s
problem is with progressive groups like Justice Democrats rather than
corporate, right-wing super PACs like AIPAC.

We can’t say we’re surprised. This op-ed is yet another attempt to point
fingers at the left after the Democratic Party failed to stop a second
Trump presidency by moving to the right.

The piece blames people-powered, grassroots groups like us and our friends
at Sunrise Movement and Working Families Party for holding Democratic
candidates accountable to our values of justice and human rights,
ridiculously blaming our push for criminal justice reform and
compassionate immigration reform for the Party’s losses this November.

As AOC pointed out, the op-ed completely fails to mention AIPAC, despite
the pro-Israel lobby group using tens of millions of dollars from its MAGA
billionaire donors to spend more than ever before against two Democratic
incumbents this cycle:

overly influenced by a special interest group pushing a wildly unpopular
agenda that pushes voters away from Democrats then they should be
discussing AIPAC

Our progressive movement won’t be lectured by the same Democratic
establishment that has prioritized corporate interests and high-dollar
donors at the expense of the working class people of this country who are
tired of the status quo.

It’s time for the Democratic Party to clean house and for the
corporate-backed, consultant class in power to step aside and make way for
bold, new leadership.

whatever you can to fund our efforts to recruit the next generation of
Justice Democrats for Congress in 2026 so we can transform the Democratic
Party from the ground up →

The number of working class, progressive candidates we can find and
support to run depends directly on how much money we raise from emails
like this one, so thanks for anything you can give to support our fight.

In solidarity,

Justice Democrats
