This International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day, we come together to remember those we’ve lost and to offer support for those who carry their memory forward. We know this day can bring a mix of emotions — grief, love, remembrance — and that having a safe space to share and honor these feelings is so important.
We’re honored to share a special message from Lisa Sugarman (she/her), a mental health advocate, one of our dedicated Trevor crisis counselors, and a three-time survivor of suicide loss. In this video, Lisa offers a message of hope and compassion, speaking from her own experiences to those impacted by loss. As she reminds us, “Let's keep honoring the people we’ve lost by supporting each other today and all the other days. Because together, we can find healing and hope.”
We invite you to take a moment to watch her message, reflecting on the courage and compassion that can be found in each of us, even in the most difficult times.
