Elections will be held for all uncontested positions. This year, the Nominations Committee has chosen the STAR voting method for our elections. Single winner elections, like the role of Treasurer, will use STAR. Our multi-winner elections for Steering At-Large and Branch Coordinators will use STAR Proportional Representation, or STAR-PR. Thank you to the members who stepped up to apply for these important roles, now we ask that the rest of you help us to decide who will lead our chapter next year. Candidates have already provided details on their qualifications and vision for the chapter, which you can find listed on our website. They will also be present to answer your questions at our upcoming event Socialists Must Lead on Saturday, December 7th. This event, co-hosted by the Nominations Committee and our Socialists In Office program, is an opportunity to meet with some of DSA-LA’s elected members in office as well as our future Local Officers to reflect on our campaign strategies of the past year and plan for what we want to achieve in 2025.
