People talk a lot after campaigns and share a lot of opinions, but too often we don’t talk about the people and processes behind campaigns that make them run.

I wanted to share what it’s like to close down a campaign after Election Day. It’s quite the process!

Our team is shrinking from over 50 employees down to just a handful, but in the days since the election, everyone worked hard cleaning out our office, moving furniture and supplies into storage, and logging all kinds of digital assets from the last 20 months.

Last week as things shut down, the full team helped load the furniture at our HQ into a U-Haul and then off to a storage unit.

Then to close things out, we held a professional development day for everyone to chat and ask questions about networking and finding everyone’s next job.

I’ve said for a while that this was the best team in the business, and I meant it. I’m so grateful to this entire group for their hard work, grit, and great attitudes as we hustled all over Michigan to win this race. I have no doubt they all have great things ahead!

Wishing you and yours the best,

Elissa Slotkin
