Team,
Last week, I joined Morning Joe to discuss Trump’s selection of Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence:
As a former CIA case officer and Member of Congress, I’ve taken an oath to defend the U.S. Constitution. I also know that the DNI role is not something to take lightly – especially as the U.S. faces threats from adversaries around the world. Tulsi Gabbard is not only unprepared and unqualified for this role, but she has spread conspiracy theories, doubted the credibility of the U.S. intelligence community, and cozied up with dictators like Vladimir Putin and Bashar al-Assad.
I’m not speaking out because of my political party — I’m speaking out on behalf of America’s national security.
Throughout my life in service, I have dedicated myself to safeguarding our country, its principles, and its Constitution. As Governor of Virginia, I pledge to continue protecting our democracy, preserving our fundamental rights, and never wavering in the defense of our freedoms.
I hope that you’ll support my efforts with a split contribution between Fight for Reform to elect state and local Democrats and my campaign as I continue to serve out my term in Congress and as I continue this work as Governor of Virginia:
