The world is bracing for President Trump to withdraw the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement… again.
Trump is almost certainly going to do it. But here’s the thing: This agreement is only as good as the action that underscores it. Meaning, if we protect our climate investments, it won’t matter as much whether Trump removes us from the agreement or not.
Look, John: There’s no question that it is harmful for Trump to remove the U.S. as the world’s leader on climate and clean energy.
But what really matters is that we protect the investments we’ve made to reduce our emissions. That will, in effect, continue to show that the United States remains a leader on clean energy - whether or not Trump removes us from the Paris Climate Agreement.

Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 119th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future.
