**I have an incredible story to tell you.** It's a story of God's faithfulness to Sheridan.Church ( [link removed] ) in Tulsa, OK over the last 73 years.
On the last Sunday of November In 1951, **Glenn & Ola Millard** started at small fellowship (around 12 people) in their garage at 2nd & Sheridan.
This small fellowship quickly grew into one of Tulsa's largest churches in the 1950's.
Soon a new auditorium was built and **Sheridan Road Assembly of God** became the hub of the charismatic movement in the 1960's in Tulsa.
**Pastor Glenn Millard** invited a Texas evenglesit named **Kenneth Hagin** to Tulsa to hold a revival at Sheridan.
That revival went weeks upon weeks and **Kenneth Hagin** decided to move to Tulsa.
**Pastor Millard** and **Kenneth Hagin** built a a tremendous relationship and **Rhema Bible Training Center** was launched at Sheridan.
This was not the first Bible College to start at Sheridan though. **Trinity Bible College** started at Sheridan as well and then branched out on its' own.
The first two graduating classes of **Rhema** held all their classes at Sheridan until they expanded to Broken Arrow, OK.
During the two years that **Rhema** was housed at Sheridan, there was a young couple freshly out of **Oral Roberts University** who started attending **Rhema** and became the Youth Pastors at Sheridan.
**Billy Joe + Sharon Daugherty** served as the Youth Pastors at Sheridan while attending classes at **Rhema Bible College**.
A few years later, **Pastor Glenn Millard** decided to retire and transitioned the leadership of the church to the Daugherty's.
Under **Billy Joe + Sharon Daugherty** , the church rebranded from **Sheridan Road Assembly of God** to **Sheridan Christian Center** and quickly grew.
Due to the huge growth of the church in 1981, **Billy Joe + Sharon Daugherty** launched **Victory Christian Center** out of **Sheridan Christian Center**.
The third pastor to take the helm at Sheridan was **Vep + Lavonne Ellis**.
Under the leadership of **Pastor Ellis** several programs and ministries were launched in the Tulsa area.
Many are unaware that Sheridan has planted over 30 churches and launched many more ministries over 73 years such as: Grace Church, Eastland Assembly of God and etc...
For 34 years, **Pastor Ellis** expanded the reach of Sheridan in Tulsa area until he decided to retire in 2017 and that's where Kendra and I come into the story...
Something that amazes me about Sheridan over 73 years is how we have had **ONLY 4 pastors**.
Since 2017, we have seen Sheridan _re-blossom_ and God is doing great things today in our midst!
I want to thank **Pastor Ellis** , our church members and so many others for the opportunity to serve as the 4th Pastor of Sheridan.Church ( [link removed] ). It's the honor of a lifetime!
Tomorrow at 10am CT, we will celebrate 73 years!

Last week at Sheridan.Church ( [link removed] ), I started a _mini-series_ within our _WKND series_ over the Book of Acts ( [link removed] ).
In **Acts 17** , the **Apostle Paul** spent 3 weeks in Thessalonica **reasoning** , **explaining** and **proving** **Jesus** from the Old Testament Scriptures.
Therefore, yesterday I took the **Book of Genesis** and _reasoned_, _explained_ and _proved_ **Jesus as Messiah** from those 50 chapters in the 1st book of the Bible.
Next Sunday, we will find **Jesus** in **Exodus** and **Leviticus** and the following Sunday we will look for Jesus in **Numbers** and **Deuteronomy**.
I believe the sermon from yesterday will really teach you some things that maybe you have never seen before from the **Book of Genesis**.
