Politico: Johnson says Ethics Panel shouldn’t release Gaetz report
John -
As you know, Donald Trump nominated one of his closest cronies, Matt Gaetz, as U.S. Attorney General.
Before resigning from Congress, Gaetz was being investigated on serious sexual assault allegations by the House of Representative Ethics Committee. Insider reports suggest the report contains "explosive details" and "shocking allegations."
The accusations were SO BAD, Gaetz had to REMOVE himself from consideration for Attorney General.
Now, Speaker Mike Johnson is desperately doing Trump's bidding by insisting the Ethics Committee report should not be made public.
John, do you believe the U.S. Senate and the American people should know what's in the report before any vote confirming Gaetz as the nation's top law enforcement official?
