John, I wanted to give you all an update on our mid-month goal.
Unfortunately, we're not quite there yet. We're only 95% of the way with less than four hours left. Can I count on you to chip in $3 right now to make sure we can hit our goal before the deadline?

Like Luke said earlier, we can be outspent by Eliot Engel and still win — but we need to hit every fundraising milestone from here on out to do so.
Every dollar we raise will go towards reaching out to voters about our progressive movement for change.
Checking in with voters during this crisis is a big priority of mine, especially since our current representative, Eliot Engel, hasn’t shown up in our community since March 27. Your contribution tonight will help us reach even more of our community at this important time.
I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy, John. I can't thank you enough for everything you do for our campaign. Thank you.
Counting on you,
Jamaal

John,
With just 37 days left until Election Day, there's much that's unknown. But one thing is for certain: we're going to be outspent by Eliot Engel.
We can still win, but to be competitive we need to hit every fundraising milestone from here on out, starting with reaching our $10,000 mid-month goal by midnight tonight. We're about 81% of the way right now; can you chip in?

To share some numbers with you:
-
96% of donors to our campaign make donations of $200 or less.
- Meanwhile, just 2% of Eliot Engel's fundraising comes from small-dollar donors, according to reports from the Federal Election Commission.
And that doesn't include the hundreds of thousands of dollars that corporate PACs and lobbyists pour into his campaign each election cycle, all so they can elect someone who will continue voting for Wall Street and incarceration. They don't care that Rep. Engel has been absent in the district he's supposed to represent and that he's been ignoring the needs of his constituents ever since the coronavirus pandemic began.
As Jamaal said, it's time for change. It's time for new, progressive leadership that is rooted in our community. Thankfully, in 37 days, we have an opportunity to do just that.
We're proud that we aren't accepting a single cent from corporate PACs or lobbyists, but that means that we're relying on our supporters like you to help keep us going. So, John: can you chip in today — $5, $15, whatever you can — so we can meet our $10,000 mid-month goal?
