Dear Friend of CURE Epilepsy,
1 in 26 Americans will develop epilepsy in their lifetime.
This compelling statistic often takes people by surprise, as many don’t realize just how common epilepsy is. For our 2024 impact report ([link removed]) , we felt that it was fitting to center the content around this eye-opening fact. For those within our community, this number hits close to home; but, for the wider public, it serves as a powerful reminder that epilepsy likely touches the lives of someone they know.

We research for people longing for seizure freedom. For people seeking the cause of their epilepsy. For people taking medications and experiencing side effects. Our community is the reason behind our research, and today I ask you to take a moment to reflect on all that we have accomplished together this year ([link removed]) . On all the stories of struggle and progress and discovery happening in homes and research laboratories and everywhere in between.
