Last week, we honored the heroes who have served our country on Veterans Day. This week, I’m proud to share that my Return Home to Housing Act was included in HR 8371, which passed the House! This bill raises the VA's reimbursement rate for transitional housing, ensuring more veterans have a safe place to call home. Our veterans deserve more than gratitude—they deserve action. I’ll continue fighting to ensure they have the support and resources they need.

Introducing the Whole Home Repairs Act

High utility bills and deferred home maintenance are forcing too many homeowners and renters to live with unsafe conditions like mold, exposed wiring, and faulty plumbing. Home repairs, a small investment compared to new housing, are critical for those who can't afford the expense. This burden falls especially on seniors, new homeowners, and low-income individuals who face mounting bills and limited resources. Rising home maintenance costs are forcing difficult choices for many families, leaving them with dangerous health and safety risks. The Whole-Home Repairs Act will help low- and moderate-income homeowners make critical repairs, ensuring homes remain safe, secure, and a foundation of generational wealth.

Voting NO on HR 9495

Yesterday, I voted NO on HR 9495 because it gives Donald Trump the power to restrict the constitutional rights of those, he considers enemies. just as he has threatened to do and when people show you who they are, BELIEVE THEM! Our focus should be on improving life and affordability for hardworking Americans, not empowering individuals to limit the rights of others.
