On Thursday, Dr. Rick Bright -- the director of the public health
agency charged with developing a vaccine for the coronavirus --
told a House Committee that Trump had him fired for refusing to
promote junk science.

In his testimony, Dr. Bright slammed the White House for
botching the COVID-19 response by putting Trump appointees in
charge who were guided by politics and cronyism, not science. He
issued a warning that we would face "unprecedented illness and
fatalities" if the Trump administration continues to ignore the
advice of medical experts.

Meanwhile, a recent report from Axios quoted a senior
administration official saying Trump will "publicly begin
questioning the death toll" as it climbs far above his initial
publicly stated expectations. Trump's willingness to manipulate
and downplay the very real losses families have suffered is
another example of his callous disregard for the pain being
caused by his gross negligence.

Add your name now to stand with medical experts like Dr. Bright
and tell Donald Trump to stop playing politics with the death
toll! ( [link removed] )

In recent days Trump has also stepped up his attacks on Dr.
Fauci.

Fauci testified Tuesday about his concerns that reopening the
country too quickly could set back efforts to stop the spread of
the virus. Trump responded by calling the doctor's evidence-based
answer "unacceptable."

This pattern of dismissing and discrediting medical experts and
using bullying tactics to sideline dissenting voices is extremely
dangerous and will lead to more unnecessary deaths if it
continues.

That's why all Americans have a moral obligation to speak out.
Sign here to demand Trump stop trying to spin the death toll and
start listening to medical experts.

We are at a critical moment. We need the best scientists and
health experts working unimpeded -- with full government support
-- to beat this. Anything less puts us all at risk.

We're in this together,
