Well, it’s official.
The week started with Biden finally approving Ukraine’s use of long-range weapons in Russia. And while I ultimately believe it was the right decision, I worry it's too little too late.
Unfortunately, it’s emblematic of the sad reality that the United States wasn’t able to deter a Russian invasion. For these two and a half years Russia has been the one largely deterring the United States and NATO from providing adequate assistance to Ukraine on a strategic basis.
This failure to provide weapons in a strategic manner is a major contributing factor to the military gridlock we are seeing play out now in that region.
