SBOE Voted Against Removal of Biblical References in English Language Arts Materials! |
This week, the Texas State Board of Education (SBOE) voted to approve instructional materials that reference the Bible. Many from the “Left” who do not believe in religious liberty were attacking these materials that are protected by the First Amendment. The SBOE voted 7 in favor and 8 against the motion to remove the materials with Bible references. This means that the Bluebonnet Learning materials are saved by a final vote taken today, Friday, Nov. 22!
Thank you to all who wrote to the SBOE expressing your views in keeping Biblical references in English Language Arts materials and to the SBOE members who voted to keep the Biblical references in. |
Mary Elizabeth Castle, Director of Government Relations at Texas Values joined NBC News prior to the vote being taken. |
Texas Values has been active in work at the Texas State Board of Education for over a decade and we were directly involved in this issue all week and we led this issue to victory with the help of many other hard-working organizations like: First Liberty Institute, CWA, Moms For Liberty and Texas Eagle Forum. In the past, Texas Values has successfully fought for keeping religious references such as Moses and the 10 commandments in the state standards. View the Press Release on today's victory!

Special Guest Matt Schlapp on the Texas Values Report! |
Jonathan Saenz President of Texas Values discusses with Matt Schlapp Chairman of CPAC the election outcome and what's ahead!
"We have taken the Bible out of our classrooms, and we haven’t taught people proper moral theology…we were all told that we don’t want to prophesy in a public space and instead of there being neutrality they’re bringing in satan, and santanism, and transgenderism, and sexual insanity to our children."
"The war on faith lost in this election, the war on the unborn child lost…the war on the innocence on our children through transgender extremism through our curriculum lost..the one thing Kamala Harris didn’t read a teleprompter on was her zeal and zest to make sure every single abortion in this country could happen."
"It was great to be with the president…we had a great time and talked about why we won…we talked about what we need to do to save the country." "I want everyone to come to CPAC in February…not only will President Trump speak to us but most of his major cabinet secretaries and advisors." ~ Matt Schlapp
