Maggie Toulouse Oliver, NM Secretary of State

Jack,

The role of elected officials is to serve the people. That’s the job.

But this pandemic has exposed even more clearly that some elected officials don’t think that’s their job. When Republicans in Wisconsin forced voters to go to the polls or have their vote suppressed–that wasn’t doing the job.

When Donald Trump tweeted that he didn’t support vote-by-mail because it was bad for Republicans—he wasn’t doing the job.

And in Texas, as the attorney general battles to disenfranchise young voters and prevent them from voting absentee—that’s not doing the job.

The job is to serve—and in Maggie’s case, she’s fighting daily to end voter suppression, clear out voter disenfranchisement, and keep us safe while voting.

We need Maggie’s voice more than ever, because she understands that her duty is to the people. Will you make a donation to keep powering our fight for fair and clean elections?

Our work to clean up New Mexico politics and set an example for the rest of the country continues with you. Thank you.

Let’s go,

Team Maggie
