| Georgia Retains Influence on Steering Committee | This week, I was unanimously reelected to the House Republican Conference's Steering Committee. In the 119th Congress, I will be representing the Georgia/Alabama Region. Additionally, Georgia's influence grew on the Steering Committee, as Congressman-elect Brian Jack (GA-3) was also chosen to serve, as Freshman Class representative to the Committee. It is a very special time in America – a time to focus on bringing fresh ideas, effective reforms, and lasting change to improve the quality of life for every American. That’s the objective of the House Republican Conference’s Steering Committee, and I am honored to have been unanimously reelected by my colleagues to represent Georgia and Alabama on this critical panel. I also congratulate Congressman-elect Brian Jack on his election to serve, and wish him well as he takes on this role. As we head into the 119th Congress, I look forward to again rolling up my sleeves and working with my House Republican colleagues to deliver legislative wins for the American people, and to ensure the next generation lives in a nation that is free, safe, and full of opportunity. Rick Allen (GA-12) in bipartisan, bicameral letter to Secretary of Commerce, Gina M. Raimondo, urging the Commerce Department to stand by U.S. Manufacturers and workers in the low-speed personal transportation vehicles (LPSTV) industry, including vehicles such as golf carts, Personal Transportation Vehicles (PTVs), and Low-Speed Vehicles (LSVs), as they face a surge of subsidized imports from China.
