I’m pleased to share that this year’s Liberty Forum & Freedom Dinner was a tremendous success.

I’m grateful to our staff and venue for all their work hosting the event and to all our supporters whose generosity made this possible.

Our attendees had a great time strategizing for the upcoming year and celebrating this year’s biggest achievements advancing free enterprise.

I’m honored to share with you our 2024 award winners, which we announced during our Freedom Dinner gala.

First, congratulations to Lebanese Institute for Market Studies (LIMS) for winning the 2024 Templeton Freedom Award.

The Templeton Freedom Award is given annually to the organization that has made the most exceptional and innovative contributions to the understanding of freedom and free enterprise.

LIMS won the award this year because of their work challenging the central bank of Lebanon and successfully ending its price control policies.

Second, congratulations to Dr. Parth J. Shah for being recognized with the 2024 Sir Antony Fisher Achievement Award.

This award, named after Atlas Network’s founder, honors an individual whose lifetime of achievement has been exemplary in advancing freedom.

We were honored to present Dr. Shah with the award because of his work advocating for freedom in India for over 25 years.

Dr. Shah founded Centre for Civil Society (CCS) in New Delhi in 1997, helped launch Asia Liberty Forum in 2011, and he led CCS to win the 2021 Templeton Freedom Award for defending the economic freedom of millions of Indian street vendors.

Finally, congratulations to Marcelo Faria, founder of Instituto Liberal de São Paulo, on winning this year’s Smart Bets Pitch Competition, which was held on Wednesday evening.

He and two other finalists presented on stage for the chance to win additional funding for their projects.

The judges named Marcelo the winner for his project to increase opportunity in Brazil by continuing to advance the country's Economic Freedom Law and to provide essential ZIP codes to residents of Brazil's slums.

Liberty Forum & Freedom Dinner is the freedom movement’s most inspirational event of the year, and we’re always honored to bring together hundreds of think tank leaders, philanthropists, and freedom advocates.

Our partners achieve victories that transform countless lives around the world, and we always want to make sure that we celebrate their achievements and spread their strategies within our network.
