The Young Democrats of America will gather for an exciting Winter Meeting from December 6-8 in Boston, Massachusetts. This in-person event will bring together young leaders from across the nation for discussions and reflections on the 2024 election results, hands-on training sessions, important organizational business, and much more. We want to remind you that today, November 22, is the final day to book your hotel. You can find all the information in this email on our website at yda.org/ydabos

Registration

Click here to register at the early bird rate of $70.00. The standard registration rate is valid until December 5, 2024.

Reserving a Hotel Room

Lodging will be available at the Hyatt Place Boston Seaport (295 Northern Ave, Boston, MA). Hotel reservations must be made no later than November 22, 2025. Click here to book at our group rate of $175 per night, which includes access to a full breakfast bar and free Wi-Fi. Please note that if you do not book through our special group rate, the current cost for the entire weekend is approximately $300 more.

National Committee Proxy Submissions

Proxies are due two hours before the start of the National Committee Meeting on Sunday, December 8th. You should submit your proxy by noon EST on Saturday, December 7th, to ensure your proxy is received and any corrections can be made. The Proxy Form is available here. Only voting members of the National Committee are eligible to submit Proxy Vote Forms.

Resolutions

Resolutions must have been submitted to YDA Secretary Lezlie Braxton Campbell at [email protected] by 11:59 PM EST on Friday, November 8. You can view all the submitted resolutions here. The Resolutions Committee will meet virtually before the Winter Meeting, and more information is forthcoming for National Committee Members.

Charter and Standing Rules Amendments

The Charter and Standing Rules must have been submitted to YDA Secretary Lezlie Braxton Campbell at [email protected] by 11:59 PM EST on Friday, November 8. You can view the only rule proposal that was submitted here. The Rules Committee will meet virtually before the Winter Meeting; more information is forthcoming for National Committee Members.

Per the YDA Charter, an amendment to the Charter shall contain a title, the names of all members who sponsor the amendment, a brief description of the amendment and why it is being submitted, and each section of the Charter showing how it is being amended.
