Last week, I voted yes to help pass the Social Security Fairness Act—a bill that I was proud to co-sponsor.

See John, two laws on the books prevented cops, teachers, firefighters, and other public servants who get pensions from getting their hard earned benefits—and I say that’s just not fair.

The hardworking people of Western PA—and all across the country—shouldn’t be penalized for choosing to work in public service. They should get every benefit they worked hard for, especially in their fight for the common good.

Now, every worker is going to receive the benefits they earned.

This is the work I’m proud to do for Western PA. I’m fighting to defend Social Security from heartless cuts, and to fight for workers. And know that when anyone tries to take away your rights, I’ll be there to fight back.
