Things aren’t particularly easy right now, John.

But New Yorkers are resilient, and if there is one thing we do best, it’s standing up in dark times to defend our values.

That starts with creating the change we want to see in our own city.

New Yorkers want to keep our families safe, make sure our kids learn, and be able to afford child care. We want a more affordable, more livable city — one with clean streets, where public libraries are open, and illegal weed shops are closed. We want the subway to arrive on time and get us where we need to go.

Those are some of the words I launched my campaign with this summer. And those are the things I’ll prioritize as Mayor.
