Climate Justice

What sustains us during these uncertain times can sometimes be surprising or simple. In this week’s Climate Justice newsletter we begin with the inaugural installment of our new column, Parables of Earth, which looks at how and why those deeply invested in the planet must practice self-care in the face of near-constant bad news—and even small acts can help. Next, we feature two articles from Nonprofit Quarterly Magazine’s fall issue, “Supporting the Youth Climate Justice Movement”—one about how BIPOC communities need to be equipped with the tools and knowledge to combat climate change; the other reflecting on the writer’s experience as a young Black leader pulling lessons for global climate solidarity from Cambodia and the US South. Finally, NPQ recently hosted three leaders in the youth climate justice movement who discussed what they urgently need from older generations to continue their work. Watch their powerful conversation here.
