** Yesterday, the Maine Climate Council released the state's updated four-year climate action plan, Maine Won't Wait ([link removed]) . More than 1,000 Maine people participated in the process to update the plan, which outlines new and updated strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, achieve carbon neutrality, strengthen Maine’s resilience to the impacts of climate change, and grow Maine’s economy through new good-paying, green jobs.

Governor Mills joined the Council to release the new plan at Morse High School in Bath, where the Council heard from local Bath leaders and students who are taking bold climate action in resilience, energy efficiency, education, job training, and affordable housing.
Governor Mills also announced that 200 Maine communities have now enrolled in the Community Resilience Partnership ([link removed]) , achieving the goal set in her State of the State Address. Towns enrolled in the Partnership are now eligible to apply for up to $75,000 in Community Action Grants.
